About Roxanne Bocyck

Roxanne Bocyck is a passionate storyteller whose journey from local newspaper feature writer to published novelist embodies the very themes she explores in her work—resilience, reinvention, and the pursuit of dreams. At 44, while balancing work and family, she returned to school as a non-traditional student at Syracuse University, earning her degree in writing and communications. Her personal narrative of courage and transformation was featured in SU’s part-time studies campaign and honored in the university’s Writer’s Distinction Program. Her debut novel, Catherine’s Dream, inspired by real events, follows a young Polish woman’s journey from an orchard outside Kraków to the rugged mountains of America, confronting cultural expectations and personal loss to reclaim her artistic identity. Through her blog, Roxanne continues to encourage women to overcome fear and self-doubt, offering insights on Polish heritage, personal growth, and the power of believing in oneself. She lives in Syracuse, New York, where she writes with the heart of a teacher and the soul of a dreamer.
