I’m Roxanne Bocyck—writer, author advocate, and community builder. I help writers and creatives move forward with intention, overcome obstacles, and build sustainable writing lives rooted in purpose rather than pressure.

Whether you’re just beginning, stuck in the middle, or navigating the post-writing journey, you don’t have to do it alone.

My Story

Storytelling has always been at the heart of my life. I began my professional writing career as a feature writer for two weekly newspapers in my hometown of Phoenix, New York, where I learned how powerful honest, well-told stories can be.

Later in life, I returned to college as a non-traditional student at Syracuse University—while raising a family and working as a school bus driver. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Writing and Communications, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and was honored through Syracuse University’s Writer’s Distinction Program.

My debut novel, Catherine’s Dream: A Story of Spirit and Courage, was inspired by my grandmother’s immigration journey from Poland to America in 1921. The book was a finalist for the CNY Book Awards and continues to resonate with readers through its message of resilience, hope, and pursuing one’s dreams.
